Weather
The summers are short and cool and winters are long and harsh with heavy snowfall that can last as long as 6 months. In the northern coniferous forest you'd probably want to wear jeans and or capris and a tee shirt with gym shoes in the spring or summer time. During the winter, you would need to pack very heavy and warm fabrics with thick boots. Precipitation in coniferous forests varies from 300 to 900 mm annually. The amount of precipitation depends on the forest location. In the northern forests, the winters are long, cold and dry, while the short summers are moderately warm and moist. In the lower forests, precipitation is more evenly distributed throughout the year.
